ACS has a reputation for excellence and the facilities and environment enjoyed by our student staff and visitors enhance that reputation. Our students are encouraged and nurtured to challenge boundaries; consequently we must offer them the appropriate environment in which to achieve their maximum potential.
The Property function within ACS is responsible for strategic planning and procurement of all property related issues to all ACS assets, which includes such things as the determination of space needs, the acquisition of planning permission by representation with local authorities, the design of facilities and management of construction schemes - which includes ‘new build’ and refurbishment of existing buildings – all focussed on providing our community with the very best environment to learn and work in.
Part of the process of ensuring that our facilities remain outstanding is to listen and learn from our community. Constructive input is always welcomed, and close-working relations across campuses are vital in helping determine priorities and short, medium and long-term needs. Key in maintaining these relationships is the appreciation of the need for minimal disruption to the normal school day – wherever possible we will undertake works during vacation periods, or for longer schemes ensure that all health and safety matters, possible nuisances, etc. are closely scrutinised and planned for appropriately.
To achieve and maintain our high quality facilities, we monitor and challenge best practice, learning from other educational establishments. We also utilise the services of specialists such as architects, structural engineers, and health & safety advisors to help us achieve our goals as a leading provider of international education.
